Note: If you are here trying to upgrade from an earlier version of Ventrilo all you need to do is uninstall the old one and install the new one. To uninstall go into your control panel then add/remove programs and uninstall Ventrilo after that follow the install section of this guide and you should be setup.
This guide will assist you in the installation and usage of Ventrilo. If you feel that you don't need a guide to understand it or are already familiar with it the server information is listed below.

Note: If you click the link for the password and cannot view it then you must send an INGAME mail to Magicpudding to make your account authorized as a FuV Member. You can also ask for the password in guild chat.
Installation:
First you must download Ventrilo, you can find that at the link below:

(Note: This version of Ventrilo is only temporary, when our host updates our version you will have to download the new version and install.)
After you have downloaded the installer, open it and follow the on-screen instructions.
Usage:
Once you have finished installing Ventrilo, open it by accessing it from either your start menu.
Once you have successfully opened Ventrilo, go into your User Name settings.
Create a new user with the name of your WoW character and then hit OK. Next, go into your Server settings.
Create a new server named Fac Ut Vivas. For Hostname use "voice151.hurricanehost.com" (without quotes), for Port use "3806" and for password use the password that you got either from this topic in the forums or that you were given by asking in guild chat.
After this hit OK. Next hit the "Setup..." button. By default, Ventrilo plays a click after each person stops talking and in a room with 40 people this can be very annoying. If you wish to turn this clicks of, uncheck "Play Key Clicks" in the Setup window.
If you don't have a mic or plan on talking, you can stop here. Otherwise you have 2 choices. You can choose to either bind a key that you hold while you talk or you can set the sensitivty of which you want Ventrilo to turn your mic on and off. To bind a key to use to talk (reccomended for novices) check "Use Push-To-Talk Hotkey". After this click inside of the Hotkey box and press the key you wish to bind.
If you would rather not have to push a button then you will have to play around with Sensitivity until Ventrilo is able to pick you up talking normally (the lower the number you enter the more sensitive Ventrilo becomes, for example if you were to enter a number too low Ventrilo would pick you up breathing, but a number too high and Ventrilo will not be able to pick you up when you talk. Once you have picked whichever method you like hit OK
(Note: For people who have decided to use Sensitivity you will have to hit OK multiple times and go in and out of the setup menu to find the correct value for yourself). Now hit Connect and you should be good to go. If you have any questions feel free to ask in Guild Chat.
